In this webinar Nélida Leiva Eriksson introduces a Sweden-Central America network.
Central America has an increasing number of undernourished people, and the region is in fact moving away from meeting some of the Sustainable Development Goals. Therefore, investments in biotechnological innovations are important to develop resilient crops with greater nutritional value and productivity. This recently initiated collaboration seeks to establish the Sweden-Central America network to jointly build capacity and infrastructure for plant biotech research and to develop functional crops with high nutritional value and resilience to the effects of climate change.
