Welcome to the outdoor exhibition “Who gets to stay? An exhibition on Invasive Alien Plants”. The exhibition is about the challenges and trade-offs we face when dealing with invasive alien species. It is produced by the Pufendorf Institute and the interdisciplinary Theme Perspectives on invasive plants. The exhibition is based on two questionnaires about invasive alien species sent out by the Folklife archives at Lund University.

The exhibition is available in the Pufendorf Institute’s garden during the Lund Sustainability Week 3–8 May, when the researchers behind the exhibition will be available for discussion, and continues until 31 May. Please find more information here. The exhibition is in Swedish and English.

 13. The Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop 20-21 October

The Swedish Bioinformatics Workshop, or SBW for short, is an annual event that has been organized by different universities in Sweden since 2000. This year it will be organized by Lund University and take place in Lund between 20-21 October 2021 (hopefully as a hybrid event at MatteAnnexet, or otherwise as a virtual event, depending on the circumstances). There is no fee to attend SBW2021 for people working in academia.

The target group for SBW is traditionally PhD students and postdocs working with any kind of bioinformatics and computational biology. This workshop aims to bring together talented students and young researchers across faculties and universities from throughout the country.

More about SBW2021 can be read here: https://sbw-lund.github.io/
